About The Site
Lilliput Records (Milwaukee, WI) wanted a new website to help drive online sales and provide a store experience that was more in-line with their store’s brand.
What they wanted to include:
Schedule & Calendar
Shop by Category & Label
Contact Form & online application
Search functionality
Form to intake Buy/Sell/Trade requests
Ability to add/edit banners for new releases
Through custom-illustrated characters and other graphic elements, I created a site that’s not only simple and functional, but fits in with their store’s DIY spirit and friendly service.
In addition to their requests, I added a “listen” feature to share their Spotify playlists and a Press page to share all of the good press they’ve gotten from various publications.
Their main goals were to create a site that was fun to spend time on, increase their online sales, and keep people on the site longer, all of which we were able to accomplish with their re-design.
Lilliput Records Home Page
The home page for Lilliput houses all of the top categories, search functionality, and a robust menu to allow the user to easily accomplish their goals
Listen Along Page
The Listen Along page allows the shop to share their curated playlists and makes them easier for people to find and follow along, or provide a soundtrack for shopping.
Contact Page
The contact page provides multiple options for contact, a map of their location, and store hours for super easy access for potential visitors. In addition, people looking for an application can download and print or fill out the application online to reduce strain on store staff.
Online Application
This simple online application form allows the Lilliput team to streamline their application process and create digital records for easy access from any location.
Shop by Genre Page
Each genre has its own shop page with a “featured” section at the top. Accomplished with tagging and categories, the genre pages allow the shopper to easily dig into what they love most.
Search Page
The Lilliput team was interested in a user-friendly search feature with multiple searchable tags. With a customized plug-in, I formatted their search page to allow multiple inputs while remaining clean and on—brand.
Shop a Label Page
In addition to shopping by genre, Lilliput has partnered labels that they wanted to highlight for shopping. Accessible from the shop menu, these labels provide a holistic shopping experience for die-hard fans.
Buy/Sell/Trade Page
Lilliput sources records through multiple channels, including through individual sales. They were struggling to find a way to simplify this process, so with the implementation of an easy intake form, they can now peruse sale requests when they’re available with all of the necessary information included in the request.
