About The Design
We/Us/Our is a collection of short stories by author Jessica Rutland. For her cover, Jessica wanted something simple that spoke to the ephemeral nature of humanity that weaves through her stories.
Utilizing shadowed & mirrored text to convey the fading of consciousness and in contrast, a cyan, magenta, & yellow color palette that’s almost shocking in its brightness, the cover helps support the idea that we can be fading away and full of life at the same time.

The Back Cover
The back cover is a nod towards Jessica’s incredible wit and humor. We thought it would be a fun gag to include recommendations from her best friends (that may or may not have relevance to the writing itself). No book jacket is complete without a badge award from the author’s mom!
