Vic’s Pets is a pet-sitting and daycare service for your furry friends.
The client wanted something that felt snuggly and friendly that would immediately convey safety and security for a client’s pets.
To illustrate serenity and comfort I illustrated a cat & dog snuggled in a yin-yang formation. The muted complementary colors help denote security with a pop of pink for the kawaii-inspired bubble font.
The Journey To The Logo
The client provided some kawaii-style inspiration and then let me run in whatever direction I wanted, provided that both dogs & cats were represented and the colors included pink & purple. In Alternate 1, I went with a 90s inspired more realistic illustration, while in Alternate 2, there’s a more direct kawaii influence with the icon-style pets and smiling house. While she loved all 3, she was especially drawn to the sense of peace and security in the final design.
