About the Poster
““The Moors,” a play by Jen Silverman, tells the story of two sisters, Agatha and Hudley, and a governess named Emilie, who become entangled in a dark and unsettling gothic tale within a remote English manor. The play blends gothic tropes with dark comedy, exploring themes of love, power, and isolation in a disorienting and atmospheric setting.”
With the marquee poster for The Moors, I wanted to mirror the feelings of gloom and madness, with the multiple portraits mimicking the loss of the main characters’ sense of self.

Alternate Versions
Alternate versions of the poster kept the same tension as the final product, but followed different paths. Alternate 1 evoked more of an Agatha Christie-style thriller, while Alternate 2 delved into the multiple layers of plot using specific easter eggs.
